Silicone rubber coated high temperature fiberglass (fibreglass or glassfibre) rope is often used as a high temperature gasket in boiler applications, as the rope provides a heat resistant steam and gas tight seal. Suitable for liquid, steam and gas sealing.
The rope may be totally covered, or selectively covered.

This high temperature silicone rubber coated fiberglass rope withstands weld splatter & molten splash. Withstands 500°F / 260°C continuous exposure, 2200°F / 1205°C for periods up to 15 minutes and short excursions to 3000°F / 1650°C.
