Silicone Rubber Coated High Temperature & Heat Resistant Fiberglass Tape
Silicone rubber coated high temperature fiberglass (fibreglass or glassfibre) tape is used to wrap hoses, tubes, pipes, wires and cables in order to protect them from high temperatures, flame, welding splatter, molten metal splash, grinding sparks, UV and contamination. Can also be used to wrap coolant lines on HVAC equipment as it provides insulation and a vapor barrier to prevent sweating of the line.
The base material is a knitted fiberglass substrate tape which is coated with our specialty formulation of high temperature silicone rubber.
High temperature, heat and flame resistant silicone rubber coated fiberglass withstands weld splatter & molten splash. Withstands 500°F / 260°C continuous exposure,
2200°F / 1205°C for periods up to 15 minutes and short excursions to 3000°F / 1650°C.
