Silicone Rubber Coated High Temperature Fiberglass Sleeve: Firesleeve
Silicone rubber coated fiberglass sleeves (firesleeve or fire-sleeve) offer high-temperature heat and flame resistance, along with the ability to shed welding splatter and molten splash. Typical applications are as protection sleeves for industrial hoses, cables and wire, aviation & marine fuel, oil and hydraulic lines and wiring (our firesleeve meets SAE AS1072 specification for passing AS1055 testing) and anywhere hoses, cables, tubes and wiring needs protection. Silicone rubber coated fiberglass sleeve is also offered with a Velcro closure for installations where the hoses, pipes, cables and wiring cannot be removed or disconnected for installation of regular sleeve, or where the ability to remove the sleeve is required for inspection purposes.
Molten metals simply slide off of the extra heavy duty coating of High-Temperature Silicone Rubber on all of these products, providing excellent burn-through protection.
